The best part of these interactive books for kids is that unlike a lot of kids’ books on the market, they won’t make you gouge out your eyes if you end up reading them every day. Let’s not kid ourselves. If you end up reading them 20,000 times a day.

I am trying to find this interactive toy/book that is definitely not a leap pad and was probably made before the leap pad as it was given to my brother before I was born in 1995 and leap frog didn't release anything to the market till 1999.When you opened it was just like 2 blank white sheets of plastic and then you slot in a book which the toy reads then you press the big green button to start. It will then either read out the story to you when you touched the line or ask you to find an item or word.In terms of what it looked it like, it was very bulky and yellow. It kinda looked like a suitcase.
I tried to draw it. Sorry for bad drawing.I remember one story that was asking a monster what it wants to eat. It goes though all these foods but the monster says no to everything. When the narrator asks what the monster wants to eat it says you!Another one I remember is about 'friends going to a beach' and then the book asks you to find the sailing boat, a robot and a monkey.EDIT: I feel like my drawing is rubbish!
It is actually really like the LeapPad same functionality and all but its not as modern and more bulky. It looked like a suitcase. Here is a pic to help:)Added a new drawing of what I am trying to find because the first one was just so bad.
Hope this helps. Again really really close but not quite the one I am thinking of unfortunately. When you open the book it has like a touch pad white plastic thing that is underneath the book you slot in so that when you pressed the book it knows what you have touched if you get me? I am starting to think that I am going crazy but my siblings remember it too but can't remember what it is called.:( Thanks though!:) Its along the same lines as the playskool's teach me reader and an old story reader!. Hey, it was kinda both.

It would read out story books and also it would be educational in a way where it would ask you to find a picture of a specific object. For example it would ask to find the picture of the sailing boat and you touch the picture for the sailing boat.I remember if you were right it would play a short trumpet victory tune then say 'Yes, that's right! You found the sailing boat!' Or if you were wrong it would play a wrong buzzer sound then say 'No, you found the monkey. Please find the sailing boat'.Is this helpful?
Thanks again.
